Moleskine Giveaway!
{ I’m so excited about this giveaway because I’m a Moleskine junkie. I bought my first Moleskine sketchpad several years ago from Fully Booked in Boni High Street and I’ve never looked back since. My favorite Moleskine and writing bric-a-brac haunt abroad is this secret - the store is hidden underground like a basement - bookshop near the Duomo in Milan. I get heady with the wide array of Moleskine notebooks they have there. One time too, I was in a small Italian town called Stresa when my Moleskine pocket travel companion ran out of pages and I just had to buy a new one from a hole-in-the-wall bookshop in Stresa’s Old Town. Talk about me being a Moleskine addict! }

Ever since I discovered Avalon.ph (one of the longest running online shopping websites here in the Philippines), however, I’ve been ordering my Moleskine notebooks from them. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Moleskine prices on offer online at Avalon are very competitive. Not only that, ordering is a breeze and shipping is fast. There was even a time when I learned that my order had been shipped already even though I still had to complete my Paypal payment. I received an e-mail notification from Avalon.ph’s support team that they sent the goods anyway since the courier was already there to pick-up the day’s orders. Now that’s customer service for you.
Anyway, these are the reasons why I am very happy to have been chosen as one of the hosts for this 2nd series of Moleskine Giveaways 2009 sponsored by Avalon.ph. Up for grabs are: One (1) Moleskine Pocket Ruled Notebook + Php500.00 Avalon.ph Gift Certificate.
These are the contest rules:
1. This Moleskine Giveaway contest is open only to residents of the Philippines or those who have a Philippine-based address.
2. Let me know in the comments section how you got to know or came across this blog. No need to write long essays (but feel free to do so if you’re feeling particularly verbose) - it can be as simple as “From Twitter” or “Was just blog-hopping.”
3. Don’t forget to provide your e-mail address so I have a way of getting in touch with you should you win. No email address = no entry.
4. Contest will run from Sep. 24 to Sep. 30, 2009 (deadline is 12 midnight, +0800 GMT). The next run of the Moleskine Giveaway will be at my friend Rico’s blog, Buhay Bahay-Bahayan.
5. One winner will be drawn via random.org.

It was during those days when I was obsessed with the iPhone. Through one of my google searches, I found Glenda’s post on her iPhone. The post was so well written that the grammar nazi in me just had to leave a comment. Of course she graciously left a comment on my blog too. Naturally, wifey checked her site as well. And she found Mai da Paypay’s site on the sidebar. So I left another comment there. And just like her sister Glenda, Mai left a comment on my site too. We’ve been virtual friends ever since.
